The UMW necklaces, finally!

I promised pictures of the necklaces we made at the UMW workshop, weeks ago. I finally got to work on them tonight:
finished pendants: the b&w is a scrabble tile, the square is a glass tile

my favorite, I think, of the ones we made in the workshop

these are still "cooking": various glues and resins need to dry

scrabble tile pendants

the chaos that is my kitchen table right now
I will be making more of these for Christmas and restocking my etsy store, which has had nothing in it for 2 years or so. If anyone is interested in one, let me know! I can do custom ones, and although I haven't tried this yet, I should be able to make pendants from photographs. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Ann Street United Methodist Women for Beaufort area and global missions.

  1. Thanks for posting! When you mentioned the tiles I had no idea what to expect (I think "scrabble" made me think they'd be letters!). These are lovely, and what wonderful gifts they would make. One of these days it's something I'd like to try.

When you say Beaufort, do you mean South Carolina?

  2. They are crazy easy to make, which is fun. I like quick gratification in my crafts.
No, I am in Beaufort NC (Bo-furt, not Buford, as some like to say).

  5. HC, they could be made into earrings...the glass tiles are on the heavy side, but the scrabble tiles are very light. I've not tried yet...but now you've got me curious!
