Mixed emotions

It's time to go home. I've packed most of my things, and in 9 hours I'll be leaving New Jersey. It's been a crazy time, and someday I'll blog about my cohort, the DMin Cabal, Class of 2010 (actually, I may have found this year's published article, but I've got to clear it with my classmates first).
At the end of the first week, when I came back from my all-too-brief trip home, I had this sense that I couldn't wait to get "home"--the home located in the palatial Riker residence hall at Drew University, the home populated by my 7 classmates, living in community, eating meals together, going to class together, sharing stories and Facebook flair and life together.
Now it's time for me to leave this home we've created. And although I am really ready to go home, and I have really missed Ben, I'm sad at the thought of not seeing my Cabal until October. We've really forged something special here, and there's more to come. I'm excited to see how it all unfolds.
I am really glad to go home, though. Ben, the WonderMutt, and even the spooky Boo await. And I'm taking a detour on the way to see Jamie the Exceptional one. I am so looking forward to that.
But I'm feeling lots of stuff. In all directions.
I'm just sayin'.

  1. journaling... i highly recommend it. helps to get the feeling "out" from bouncing around in you... and somehow then it frees you up a little...

    welcome home!
